About Us​

Mid Cities Ambucs is dedicated to creating mobility and independence for those with disabilities.
We do this in several ways:
- Amtrykes - Modified tricycles which create mobility for those who cannot ride a conventional bike. Our chapter provides Amtrykes to children in need in East Texas.
- Scholarship Programs – Our chapter supports the Ambucs national scholarship program each year to provide scholarships to students pursuing degrees in physical, occupational, speech, and audiology.
- Community Service – Our chapter volunteers several hours each year. Through our efforts, we raise funds and awareness to support our mission. Examples are serving with the North Texas Food Bank, serving the homeless at shelters, and more!
- Our membership covers a wide range of professions throughout the community, including Bankers, Therapists, Professors, Financial Advisors, and Business Owners. The AMBUCS motto of “Shoulders Together” is evident when our diverse membership comes together to help those in need.​
- Ambucs is the Fun Way to Serve! We host social events so our members can mingle and enjoy the latest chapter accomplishments. Members serve on committees and influence how the chapter operates.​
- Mid Cities Ambucs meets on the Second Monday of each month, with meetings usually lasting up to one hour. We have a speaker once a month who shares information about their local business, organization, or hobby with the group.​
- A full membership in the chapter is currently $12 per month. A second tier is available for only $3 per month. Our chapter provides its membership with the opportunity to help those in need, network with other members, and Have Fun!
​- Joining Ambucs is a decision you will not regret. Feel free to attend a meeting as our guest to better understand our chapter and its benefits to the community. There is no cost to visit, and you would be more than welcome at a meeting.

- Our next meeting will be on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 6 pm to 7 pm (arrive early to introduce yourself).
